On January 13th, 2023, PAK Donors, a non-profit organization, successfully hosted its 20th blood donation drive at the Kuwait Central Blood Bank in Al Jabriya. The drive aimed to raise awareness about blood cancer and encourage blood donation, with 210 donors participating. The event also received support from H.E Malik Muhammad Farooq, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait.
This drive was dedicated to the fight against blood cancer, a leading cause of death worldwide. Regular blood donation can help save lives and PAK Donors took this opportunity to educate the community about the importance of blood donation in this fight.
The majority of donors were Pakistanis, showing their love and support for their second home, Kuwait. PAK Donors organized the event with the support of City Group Co. KSCP, Kuwait Central Blood Bank, the Embassy of Pakistan, Zain (Mobile Telecommunications Company K.S.C.P.), Narco Engineering Consultants, and Combined Tafaoul Trading & Contracting Co.
PAK Donors, established in 2011, is the first organization of its kind among the Pakistani community in Kuwait. Its aim is to spread awareness about the importance of blood donation and inspire regular blood donation. Since its inception, PAK Donors has organized 20 successful drives, collecting thousands of pints of blood. The organization is dedicated to promoting the cause of blood donation and raising awareness about its importance in the fight against blood cancer.
H.E Malik Muhammad Farooq, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of PAK Donors and the Pakistani community in Kuwait. He praised their dedication to serving humanity through blood donation and said "I am proud of the efforts of PAK Donors and the Pakistani community for organizing such a successful event and for their commitment towards saving lives through blood donation."
The drive ran from 1 PM until 6 PM and attracted 210 donors who registered to give blood. PAK Donors extends its gratitude to the Kuwait Central Blood Bank for their support and professional services in ensuring the smooth and efficient conduct of the drive.
